MANAGERS BUY OWL VIDEO

ONE of Uckfield's biggest companies, Owl Video Systems, has been bought by its senior management for an undisclosed sum.

The company, with headquarters on the Bellbrook Industrial Estate, is the UK's leading supplier of large screen multimedia and video projection systems. Among a host of blue-chip clients are William Hill, Whitbread and the Spirit Group of pubs.

Retiring owner David Juby, who started the business 25 years ago, has sold the company to a management team led by managing director Peter Dangerfield and sales director Shaun Merklew.

David said: 'This is good news for all concerned '“ our staff, our suppliers and, most importantly, our customers '“ because it will be very much business as usual. The transition will be seamless.'

The deal was brokered with the help of Nik Askaroff, chief executive of corporate finance specialists EMC Ltd, of Eastbourne. Legal services were provided by ASB Law with finances coming from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
