Mayfield chooses its top performers in talent contest

Mayfield Pre-School is launching a search for a local young superstar with its own competition called Mayfield’s Got Talent. People living in the village get the deciding vote on who the winner should be.

The competition will be judged by Noel Bannister, choirmaster at MayZing Choir; dancer Katy Tatlock of Tatlock Fitness; Johnny Marrow, music teacher from Heathfield Community College and Alison O’Neil, leading actress from the Phoenix Theatre Company.

But organisers point out the audience will make the ultimate decision.

The live competition will be held in the Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 19. Tickets cost £7.50 each to make up a table of six and doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. There will be a licensed bar and visitors can even pre-order a pizza to eat during the interval.

Entry forms for the competition can be collected from Burnett’s Estate Agents in the High Street or at the Pre-School in Court Meadow. Entries are on a first come, first served basis and stand the chance to win some amazing prizes. First is a GiftDaze recording session at Audio Sorcery’s Frant studios and £100 cash and there are also cash prizes of £50 and £25 for second and third as well as trophies for all three winners.
