Mayfield farmers’ fry-up

Members of the Frant and Mayfield branch of the NFU are set to cook for commuters leaving Eridge station from 5.30-8am on Wednesday, January 29 as part of Farmhouse Breakfast Week.

They can look forward to eggs, bacon and sausages from Richard and Annabelle Padfield of Renhurst Farm Shop, Mark Cross, served in a locally-baked bap.

Event organiser and dairy farmer Ian Russell said: “Research shows eating breakfast can make you healthier and happier - giving you more energy, reducing stress levels, improving concentration, mood and even helping you manage your weight.”

TV chef and breakfast lover Dean Edwards says: “In the morning rush breakfast can fall down the list of priorities but it means you are less likely to reach for something unhealthy mid-morning.”
