Mayor and Santa to switch on Seaford Christmas lights

Seaford Christmas Magic and Late Night Shopping will take place on Friday December 6.

Father Christmas will join the mayor of Seaford Anthony White to switch on the lights at 5.30pm in Broad Street.

Funfair rides will line the side streets and there will be performances by choirs, singers and other entertainers.

The event will run from 5pm to 8pm with many of the town centre shops open late.

Broad Street, Place Lane, High Street and Sutton Road will close to all traffic at 2.30pm to allow stalls and entertainment areas to be set up.

The fun begins at 5pm with the opening of stalls selling food and gifts.

Local community groups and charities will also set up stalls to raise money for the services they provide.

Archway Choir from Seaford have confirmed they will perform and the town council is hoping Seaford Silver Band will attend too.

Last year hundreds of people descended on the town to enjoy the festivities.
