Mayor is '˜delighted' with Worthing Youth Strings performance

Sean McDonald was delighted with their performance.

Describing the experience, he said: “It was a brilliant evening, the strings were wonderful and they made it an amazing experience as the guests arrived.”

Sean is an advocate of supporting and showcasing the local talents of young people in the town and will visit Worthing Music Centre to see all the various ensembles and bands in action.

He will attend one of the three annual Summer Music Centre concerts on June 25, where he will present leaving certificates to the students who are moving on to University.

Some of these students joined the Music Centre at eight years old as beginners, so have been members for ten years and are now accomplished musicians, several of whom will be studying music.

Worthing Music Centre holds a variety of activities throughout the week, including Friday activities, Saturday activities, Friday and Saturday lessons, concerts and performances, Wednesday Rock Academy for the under 18s with Northbrook College, Durrington, and Shoreham Fiddlers and Beginner Fiddlers with Shoreham Academy.
