Mayor presents swimmers with charity medals
THE town hall was packed with schoolchildren on Friday afternoon as those who took part in the mayor’s charity swim were presented with medals.
Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman, dressed in full ceremonial regalia, awarded 250 medals to swimmers who helped raise more than £6,000 for the mayor’s charities.
Mr Smytherman said: “It was great to see so many head teachers there with their children.”
