Meeting reflects on Findon’s year

THE chairman of Findon Parish Council reflected on the past year in the village and then looked to the future at the council’s annual meeting on Thursday evening.

Peter Goldsworthy said the past year had been dominated by three issues, which had ‘stretched the parish council considerably’ – the parish poll, the traveller invasion of Nepcote Green and the ‘accelerated’ progress of the neighbourhood plan.

Looking forward, work on the neighbourhood plan will continue and it is expected to be completed by early 2015.

Two major projects are in the pipeline– a youth leisure project behind the village hall, co-ordinated by Councillor Dave Young, and the renovation of the Wattle House, in Nepcote Green.
