Memorial service for former student who died in Iraq

Cpl Rigby, from Playden, lost his life while serving in Iraq in 2007.

There were three Royal British Legion Standards on parade and wreaths were laid by Cpl Rigby’s regiment, which were represented by a Captain, a Colour Sergeant, the Royal British Legion and the college.

The service was conducted by Father Jack Lusted, chaplain to the Robertsbridge Royal British Legion branch.

There were about 45 people in attendance.

Following the service, lunch was provided by Robertsbridge Community College.
