Men in the South East amoung the worst in Britain for sending flowers

The survey of more than 2,000 people from across Britain, has revealed that only 32 per cent of men from the South East treat their partner to a bouquet at least once a month.

Nearly a third (30 per cent) of men from the region admits to never buying their partner flowers. This compares to only 18 per cent of men in the South West.

Cancer Research UK carried out the survey to highlight its new online fresh flower website, Give With Flowers (www.givewithflowers.org).

As well as impressing a date this Valentine's Day, anyone who purchases a bouquet from the website will be helping the charity beat cancer; with 20 per cent of everything sold going directly to the charity.

The poll also found that, while 95 per cent of women insouthern counties never buy their partner flowers, 53 per cent admit to buying bouquets for themselves.

Kevin Waudby from Cancer Research UK said: "This year's Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity for men across Britain to start sending flowers to their partners more often '“ and help beat cancer at the same time.
