Messing about on the river

WALLACE and Gromit arrived late for the Arun bath tub race on Saturday, so their vessel was temporarily commandeered by the opposition.

One entrant decided to be a bit posh by launching a corner bath and another of the vessels was sliced into three as it was too big last year.

Alas for poor Wallace and Gromit, alias Ryan Hayden and his friend Luke.

Their chances of winning the coveted trophy were scuppered, as by the time they arrived and seized back their tub from arch-rivals Felpham Mowers, they were well behind.

Overall winner was Martin Harvey from Felpham Mowers in Funky Raisin One and he also swept the board by winning the best-dressed prize.
