East Sussex is still bracing itself for wintry weather, as the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow today (Monday January 14) and Tuesday January 15.
It said an area of sleet and snow will move eastwards across England during the early part of Monday, probably becoming light and patchy during the morning as it slows down over Southeast England.
However, another band of rain, sleet and snow is expected to be affecting northern England and southeast Scotland by daybreak, moving southeastwards through the day.
The Met Office said accumulations of snow from the first band would be variable, but 2cm was possible in many areas.
The second band will be predominantly rain or sleet in the South Midlands and Southern England.
Snow showers will affect parts of the east on Tuesday, in some places adding several centimetres to existing accumulations.
The public are advised to be aware of the risk of disruption to transport.
