Metrobus announces Horsham service changes for Tour of Britain

Bus operator Metrobus has announced amendments to its services tomorrow (Saturday September 13) as the Tour of Britain heads through Horsham.

This means that bus routes into and around Horsham will be affected with some cancellations and alterations to the normal timetable.

The areas that will be affected are Albion Way, Horsham Railway Station and the Carfax where routes will be changed to go via Worthing Road, the A24 Horsham bypass, Warnham Road, North Parade and Hurst Road between approximately 11.30am and 12.30pm.

Delays are to be expected whilst the Tour passes through Horsham and buses may be subject to short notice cancellation.

Metrobus has apologised for any inconvenience caused by this event which is out of their control.

Route 23 to and from Worthing -Will be unable to serve the Carfax or Horsham Station, passengers at Horsham Station should wait at the stops on Hurst Road. Buses will operate via Worthing Road, A24 Horsham by-pass, Warnham Road N Parade and Hurst Road in both directions. Short Route 23’s between Crawley and Horsham will terminate at Horsham Station between 11.30-12.30.

Route 51 – will be unable to serve the stops at the Carfax, Horsham Station and Horsham Hospital buses will be diverted via Worthing Road, A24 Horsham by-pass, Warnham Road and North Parade back on to normal line of route.

Route 61 - Will only operate between Horsham Station. Please note that the 12.15 bus will not operate due to the closures.

Route 65 - Will only operate between Horsham Station, between 11.30-12.30.

Route 93 - Will not be able to serve the Carfax or Albion Way and will operate via Worthing Road and A24 Horsham by pass, to and from Broadbridge Heath.

Route 98 - Will be unable to serve the Carfax or Horsham Station towards Southwater between 11.30-12.30 and will operate via Worthing Road to Southwater. Buses towards Roffey will be unable to serve the stops in the Carfax or Horsham Station between 12.00-12.30, and will operate via Worthing Road, A24 Horsham by-pass, Warnham Road, North Parade and Hurst Road back to normal line of route.

Route 200 - Will only operate between Gatwick and Horsham station between 11.30-12.30.
