Michelin Star joy for top quality eaterie

A POPULAR restaurant has retained its Michelin Star rating.

Mark and Sara Colley, owners of The Curlew at Bodiam, are celebrating news that The Michelin Food Guide has once again named the modern British restaurant amongst the top 164 in the UK.

The Curlew has, for the second time, retained the Michelin Star first awarded in January 2011 and continues to line up alongside the likes of Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsey and Raymond Blanc.

Mark Colley said: “This is terrific news and justifiable reward for the colossal hard work put in by everyone connected with The Curlew.

“I’m not only talking about our kitchen and service team, but also about the incredible local producers and suppliers who continue to provide the ingredients on which our success is built.

“It makes us immensely proud to have a restaurant able to showcase the very best of Kent and Sussex.”

The Michelin Star award caps an impressive 2012 for The Curlew which continues to earn rave reviews from critics and the public alike.

The Curlew is located at Junction Road, Bodiam in a Grade II-listed timber framed 17th Century Coaching Inn.
