Mid Sussex General Election result announced

The result of the Mid Sussex count for the General Election 2019 has been announced.

The Conservatives have held onto the district with candidate Mims Davies securing 33,455 votes.

Lib Dems' Robert Eggleston came second with 15,258 votes, followed by 21-year-old Labour candidate Gemma Bolton with 11,218 votes.

Deanna Nicholson, Green Party, brought home 2,234 votes.

Baron Von Thunderclap for The Monster Raving Loony Party gained 550 votes and Advance Together candidate Brett Mortensen gained 47 votes.

The turn out was 74 per cent. There were 220 spoiled ballot papers.
