Middleton children step out in aid of charity

YOUNGSTERS toddled their way around a field to raise cash for charity.

Children from Middleton’s Jubilee Pre-School took part in the Meningitis Trust Toddle Waddle around Shrubbs Field on Tuesday.

The 27 little ones all aged between two and four also made special hand-held duck masks to recognise the trust’s duck emblem.

Pre-school leader Betty Labron said: “In the last six years we have collected £6,742.41 for the Meningitis Trust, something we are all very proud of. Some years we have managed to raise more than £1,000.

“As we are a pre-school the trust is a charity which is very close to our hearts and one we are happy to help.

“I would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents and guardians for their support.”
