Guests, museum supporters, staff and volunteers were treated to drinks and light refreshments in the castle’s spectacular Collector Earl’s garden, and were joined by the Duke of Norfolk, who opened the new museum, in Mill Road, exactly a year ago to the day of the party, last Tuesday.

Martin Duncan, head gardener at the castle, led a tour of the Collector Earl’s garden and the adjoining gardens and glasshouses, on a perfect, balmy summer’s evening.

Arundel residents also enjoyed the museum’s first anniversary, with free admission over a weekend last month.
