MILKIE MAKES LUCKY ESCAPE

A MILKMAN had a lucky escape after his van mounted a grass verge and flipped upside down in Ninfield Road on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old man from Bexhill was travelling south when he somehow lost control of his vehicle at around 12.45pm.

The van skidded onto the opposite side of the road, hurtled up the bank before tipping on to the pavement, smashing dozens of milk bottles. Police say the driver was lucky to walk away without injury. The van was stacked with crates but only a few of the milk bottles were full.
