Miss Hastings is vying for crown

Hannah Burgess, the Hastings Old Town Carnival Queen, said: “I am so excited to have made it to the semi final, it is a great achievement.

“Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true – fingers crossed I will be able to represent Hastings and win the Miss Teen Great Britain crown.”

The 17 year old will join teenagers from across Great Britain to compete for the crown in a spectacular grand final in Blackpool and the winner of Miss Teen Great Britain will walk away with some incredible prizes, including £1,000.

Carnival spokesman Ion Castro said: “It’s brilliant when our Carnival Court does well and that reflects on our town.
