Victoria, 20, said she was ‘extremely honoured’ having been crowned at Kelham Hall and County Park in Newark on Saturday.

“I received outstanding support from my family and friends, both at home and university, but also from the other girls who were competing at the semi finals,” she said.

“This is my first pageant experience. For me, it is not all about being a beauty queen but instead about personal achievement and supporting others.

“I can proudly say this competition has given me a sense of self belief and has provided me with the opportunity to regain confidence in my ability to achieve.

“I am excited to be an ambassador for my county and represent Sussex at the Miss England grand final in the beautiful location of Southport.”
