Missing woman may be heading towards Eastbourne

Police are searching for a missing woman who is thought to be heading towards Eastbourne.

Officers said 54-year-old Maria Lozano was last seen at her home address in Bexhill at around 5.15pm on Sunday (July 12).

Police say they are concerned for her welfare and are appealing for anyone who sees her to get in touch.

Sussex Police said it is thought she may be travelling by bus or train towards the Friston or Eastbourne area.

Maria is described as 5’ 5”, stocky, and with black/greying, straight, shoulder-length hair which she sometimes has in a ponytail, officers said.

According to police, it is thought she is wearing a black or red top and black trousers, and may be wearing glasses. She is also believed to be carrying a green rucksack.

Anyone who sees her is asked not to approach her, but to contact police on 999 if it is an emergency or by calling 101 quoting serial 1135 of 12/07.
