Mobile signal survey closes at 900 responses across Storrington and Washington

The online reporting for mobile phone coverage has now ended and the parish councils intend to use the results to lobby for improved service in their areas.

Ofcom, mobile phone providers and the Government will all be approached in a push for better network coverage, which councillors have said is poor and a disadvantage to businesses.

The end of the survey follows a publication by the British Infrastructure Group highlighting the difficultes faced by rural communities with regards to poor mobile phone signal.

Results of signal testing by Ofcom are expected to be available towards the end of November, according to Storrington and Sullington Parish Council.

The council added that although MP Nick Herbert had been approached to ask for his active support in lobbying for proper signal, this had not been received by last weekend and a further request has been made.
