More council complaints

WEALDEN District Council received 28 more complaints about its services in the period 2011 to 2012 than it did the year before, 2010 to 2011.

The latest figures show 83 complaints compared to 55 complaints the year before.

An annual complaints review said the increase could be partly ‘attributed’ to more accurate recording of complaints.

A Wealden memo giving details of the review said: “This increase should also be considered against the backdrop of the significant upheaval and redistribution of our resources over the past year, including closing Vicarage Lane and decanting hundreds of staff to Grove Road, Prospects House and Pine Grove.”
