More readers spot low-flying RAF helicopters in Worthing

READERS have been sending in photos and a video of what are thought to be RAF Puma helicopters flying low across Worthing yesterday.

The helicopters were spotted across Worthing’s skies yesterday afternoon.

They were seen landing and taking off from Homefield Park in Worthing.

Sussex Police confirmed the helicopters were taking part in a training exercise by the RAF, which was completed at 4pm.

Video of the helicopters landing was sent in by Ed Kenin.

One reader commented that the spectacle reminded them of the famous helicopter scene in Francis Ford Coppola’s film, Apocalypse Now.
