More than 14,000 sign up for new service

ROTHER’S new garden waste service is proving popular.

More than 14,000 households have now opted in and paid for the service and are receiving their brown bins as part of improvements to the kerbside collection of waste and recycling being rolled out across the district in June.

A further 1,500 have already expressed an interest in signing up for the service ahead of the second phase planned for autumn.

Due to the level of interest, Rother is urging residents who want to sign up for the service to do so via its web site at www.rother.gov.uk/gardenwaste

The details of those residents who have signed up already but not paid will keep on file and they will be contacted when the service is available to them.
