Hailsham Police have donated £250 to the 1st Hellingly Guides.

The guides who are based at Emmanuel Church, in Hawkswood Road will use the money to go towards a new coach.

The coach will take around 50 girl guides to their summer camp in the New Forest.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

PCSO Fay Fletcher, of the Wealden Neighbourhood Policing Team in Hailsham handed the cheque over to the guides (pictured).

She said: “The Girl Guides group has been going for many years and offer varied activities to within the community.
