A spokesman for UK Power Networks said power was interrupted at 4.28pm on Monday (November 2).

A third party, which the company has refused to name, had damaged one of its underground electricity cables.

Power was restored to more than half of the properties by 5.50pm.

Most of the final 62 had power again in stages throughout the evening as engineers rerouted electricity supplies.

Engineers restored one final supply at 2.35am today (November 3).

The cut was followed by another one in the Harwood Road, Horsham, area at 6.27am.

Power was restored after the ‘large area high voltage fault’ by around 9am.
