Mother and son injured in road accident

A MOTHER and her six-year-old son were seriously inured when a motorcycle and car collided in Littlehampton.

The accident at the junction of Beach Road and Irvine Road happened on Saturday at about 10.50am and involved a silver Citreon Saxa and a Triumph.

The boy, from Lancing, suffered a broken leg and his mother sustained head and leg injuries. They were both pedestrians. They are being treated at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

The 57-year-old male motorcyclist received serious leg injuries and was being treated at Worthing Hospital.
