Dan Redsull, Chief Executive Sara Lee Trust (SLT) says the charity is ‘absolutely thrilled’ that St Leonards Motors Group (SLM) are supporting them. “Not only will the partnership help improve awareness of and access to our care and support, it will significantly assist with our ability to meet the growing level of local need for our services,” he said.

Dan recently collected a cheque for the SLT of £1,173, representing the first of SLM’s fundraising for the charity. Ian Wakeford, Managing Director SLM says they are delighted to support the Trust. “This is such a worthy and necessary local charity,” he said. “All our team feel very proud to be involved in raising money for a great cause that helps our local community.

“For every new or used car that we sell across the group, we will make a donation to the Trust and we are expecting to make a total donation of over £3000 to the charity this year alone. We are also looking at ways we can support the Trust through assistance in their transport needs.”

The SLT provides specialist counselling, therapy care and support to local people living with cancer and other life-threatening conditions, along with their family and carers. The Trust is also the provider of specialist counselling and complementary therapy services to patients of St Michael’s Hospice and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital.
