Motorcyclist critically ill after crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and motorcycle on Sunday afternoon (March 26).

The incident took place at around 3.30pm in Old London Road near to the junction of Ashburnham Road in Hastings.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 28-year-old man from Hastings, was flown to a hospital in London having suffered a serious head injury.

He remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car and her two passengers were treated for shock.

The road was closed for a considerable amount of time while emergency services dealt with those involved and cleared the road.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, particularly those who may have dashboard camera footage. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting Operation Utah.
