“Officers would like to thank motorists for their understanding and patience while the road was closed for several hours as they investigated the circumstances.”

The fatal accident happened just two days after two motorcyclists from France were seriously injured in a crash involving several vehicles on the A259 in Hooe.

Anyone who witnessed the collision on the A21 or may have seen the vehicles just before the crash is asked to contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting Operation Glaven.
