Motorcyclist injured in Hooe collision

A BELGIAN motorcyclist collided with a red Vauxhall Astra on the A259 at Hooe on Tuesday afternoon (August 18).

The 41-year-old man, who was riding a Triumph America motorcycle, was taken to Eastbourne General District Hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 78-year-old woman from Battle, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Eastbourne Hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, which happened at around 3.35pm outside the Lamb public house at Hooe, to contact PC Adam Rogers at Polegate Road Policing Unit on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1174 of 18/08.
