Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on Argos Hill

A male motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Mayfield yesterday afternoon.

The injured man was taken to St Guy’s Hospital in London with serious injuries, but was said to be in a stable condition.

A person from the other vehicle was arrested at the scene and is ‘helping police with their enquiries’, a Sussex Police spokesman said.

The accident happened on the A267 Tunbridge Wells Road between the Mayfield bypass and the B2101 at Argos Hill at around 4.30pm on Saturday, December 5.

The A267 reportedly remained closed for several hours.

A police spokesman said: “A motorcyclist was seriously injured and was taken to St Guy’s Hospital in London.

“There were no other injuries. A person from another vehicle was arrested and is helping with enquiries.

“We got the call at 4.34pm, and the road was closed.”
