Motorists shine in seafront display

A GLEAMING line-up of classic motors took pride of place on Bexhill's seafront over the weekend.

The June classic car display by the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club also featured the Serpollet, fresh back from a stint alongside the current steam powered land speed record holder in the Beulieu Festival of Steam.

A spokesman for the club said they were "delighted" Bexhill Museum had let the car out again, adding: "all the vehicles created a great deal of interest from the public walking along the promenade."

Bexhill Wheelers classic cycle group kept in period on Sunday with Edwardian costumes, joining the cars arranged around The Old Bathing Station cafe beside the sailing club.

There will be another chance to see the vehicles at the club's display on the seafront on July 25, ahead of the big show on August Bank Holiday weekend.
