THANK YOU TIME: We hope everyone had a good Christmas. As it is such a quiet time of year, we should like to say a few thank yous. We should like to thank Barbara Valentine for keeping us posted on her activities, particularly raising money for St Michael’s. And Chris Holden for a few occasional reports throughout the year. But our biggest thanks are reserved for Steve Smith who has regularly supplied us with all the news of the Mountfield Club and Jackie Spriggs who has given us reports on church matters written to a consistently high standard.
So much of what we put into the Village Voice lives on into The Messenger so we should all acknowledge the work of our deliverers: Michael in Solomon’s Lane, Hannah and Nancy round the crossing, Jim up Eatenden Lane, Charles along Hoath Hill, Barbara round the Church, Jill along Kent Lane and now David who has taken over the distribution to those deliverers. The biggest thanks here though must be reserved for the editor of The Messenger, Yve, who continues to do such a good job for us all.
