Mountfield village voice

Sue Kennedy, Secretary of Mountfield Horticultural Society has submitted the following about the Summer Show which was held on 28th July.

We would like to thank all our judges and stewards. Special thanks to those who organise the refreshments and bake the cakes, especially Mrs. Eileen Spray. Thank you to our committee who work hard all day and the evening before and we also thank those who help that are not members of the society. Six people dined out at Leeford Place with Mountfield Lunch Club on 6th August. Ruby told me that they had a lovely meal including the nicest creme brulee she had ever tasted. They were waited on by Alex, a university student who is working at the hotel during his summer holiday.
