Mountfield Lunch Club were not able to eat out on Bank Holiday Monday after all. They will dine out on Monday 14th May instead. Please let Ruby know if you would like to join them and whether you need a lift by Sunday tea time ( 01580 880186. )

A few weeks ago I mentioned the National Nightingale Survey which is taking place this year from 21st April until 4th June. If you hear, or think you hear a nightingale in Mountfield ( or Brightling, Dallington or Netherfield, ) please let Robin Harris know. Some onlookers enjoyed watching the motorbikes travelling down the A21 on Bank Holiday Monday from outside John’s Cross Inn. Luckily there wasn’t too much rain that day for the bikers and the crowds of people who enjoyed the Jack in the Green festivities in Hastings.
