MP backs Battle Country Market
Battle MP Greg Barker praised the Battle Country Market when he dropped into the local fresh produce event at the Memorial Hall on Friday.
Mr Barker said: “The country market is a real Battle institution, selling everything from locally grown vegetables, cooked food, cakes, jam and crafts, every Friday for over 45 years.
“Now that the farmers market on Abbey Green has sadly closed, this local market has become more important than ever.
“So I would particularly encourage anyone who hasn’t been for a while to pop along and support this great local market and be pleasantly surprised by what they have on offer!”
