MP demands immediate answers on absconding prisoners
Absconding foreign nationals from Ford Open Prison have become such a concern for the Home Office, it has removed its remaining 141 and placed them into 'proper open prisons' for assessment.
The Prison Service's dramatic removal of the foreign prisoners last week was prompted by a round of escapes revealed by MP Nick Herbert and the local press, with 11 prisoners absconding since the beginning of the month.
