RVR Chairman, Gardner Crawley, and volunteer members of RVR provided Greg and Huw with an update on their plans to restore the missing rail link between Bodiam and Robertsbridge.

This approximately 3.5 mile long section of line, will link with the Kent and East Sussex Railway at Bodiam, enabling through running for a total of 13.5 miles on to Tenterden.

The new Robertsbridge Junction Station, which is under construction, will also provide a rail link to main line railway at Robertsbridge.

Greg said: “The Rother Valley Railway is making terrific progress and I was delighted to actually ride along the new track in Robertsbridge.

“I was impressed with the progress they have made which could not have come about without the dedication and hard work of local volunteers.”
