MP hosts jobs fair at college

EMPLOYERS, colleges and support agencies from across Adur and Worthing are taking part in a Jobs Fair.

The event, on Saturday, March 8, will be hosted by East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton at Northbrook College in Broadwater.

Mr Loughton said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for work, looking for a career change or looking for training and education opportunities to come along and see what is on offer locally.

“The Pensioners’ Fair that I hosted towards the end of last year provided a lot of useful information about initiatives and organisations that are there to help older generations and I want to do the same thing with people looking for employment.

“The best formula for a thriving local economy is to have local people working for local businesses and this event is a step towards that.”

The event is being jointly organised with Northbrook and will be an opportunity for those seeking employment to meet a range of employers, educational establishments and support agencies from across Adur and Worthing, with the goal of helping them take the first step towards achieving their career aspirations.

There will be a number of stalls and seminars offering vacancies and apprenticeships, as well as tips on applying for jobs, CV building and interview techniques.
