MP secures Westminster special debate on Ford Prison

ARUNDEL and South Downs MP Nick Herbert has secured a 'slot' for an adjournment debate about Ford Prison.

The 30-minute debate, which will be held in Westminster Hall on the morning of January 10, will give the MP a chance to air his concerns and ask questions about the open prison.

He will be asking for a security review to be brought forward and will express his disquiet about the governor's idea of Category C prisoners being housed at Ford.

He said: "I have been asking for this debate since October. Not only will I be able to raise a number of points but a Minister has to answer."
