MP supports Pett project for elderly

RYE MP Amber Rudd will be special guest when the Pett Older Persons Project holds a special Family Fun Day at Pett Village Hall on Saturday May 5.

The project follows on the heels of a successful scheme in Fairlight and allows senior citizens in the community to come together one day a week for a hot meal and social activity.

The Fun Day starts at 10.30am, with Amber arriving at 11am

Attractions include a tombola, produce table, arts and crafts table, lucky dip, hook the duck, face painting, table sale, a barbecue, find the wine bottle, coconut shy, raffle, white elephant and book stalls and cakes.

There will be lots of refreshments on offer including cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks to enjoy whilst talking to friends.

If you would like to donate to any of the stalls, please contact Sally on 01424 813101, Ann on 01424 813043 or Jackie on 0142 815224 and members will collect. Alternately you can just bring it along on the day.

Joint chairman of POPPS Jackie Richards said: “This is your chance to see how the Village is helping to keep the over sixties active, healthy, informed and part of our vibrant community.”
