Murder accused appears in court
A Bognor Regis man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Charlie Hancock.
Walter Brazil, 41, of Collyer Avenue, appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday, May 17) in a hearing that lasted less than three minutes.
Wearing a light blue and white t-shirt, Brazil spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

Hide AdHe was referred to Lewes Crown Court where he will appear on Monday, May 20, at 9.30am.
Brazil was charged last night in connection with the death of 20-year-old Charlie following an incident in Rowan Way, Bognor, on the night of Monday, May 13.
The dad-of-one, from Pagham, was rushed to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester where he died in the early hours of the folowing morning.
It was indicated Brazil will plead not guilty.
