Museum place for Pam's unique medal collection

A SECURE place in a museum will be assured for a medal collection which has an extreme rarity value.

Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Bridget George was present at the Red Cross monthly coffee morning at London Road headquarters on Saturday to witness a ceremony.

The awards, mounted and framed, have been won by Normanhurst resident Pamela Ablett during her 66 years of voluntary service with the Red Cross.

They were handed to her solicitor, John Crone of Meneer Shuttleworth Solicitors for safe-keeping until the British Red Cross decides on a permanent location in a Red Cross museum.
