Music event will help improve life for little Elliott Ambrose

Elliott, from Three Oaks, who is 21 months old, was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic, neurological disorder identified in children missing part of chromosome 15.

Children with Angelman syndrome have severe learning disabilities, delayed motor development including delay in sitting up and walking, and jerky movements. Many children have no speech and therefore the majority of children will express themselves using sign language.

A small group from Three Oaks have been working with friends and family to organise a fund raising evening to help improve Elliott’s quality of life.

The event takes place at the O’Bryne Theatre, Claremont School, on Saturday September 29 from 8pm until midnight. Local group Soul Xpress are giving their support for the evening and are going all out as the The Blue Brothers in what should be a lively fun evening.

The evening includes a variety of ploughman’s platters and selection of desserts. There will also be special raffle prizes on the night and items up for auction.
