Nature reserve fair

PULBOROUGH Brooks Nature Reserve is hosting an Autumn Fair this weekend.

The reserve, tucked away within the water meadows of Arun river, will offer everything from locally produced fruit, jam and chutney, to wooden craft pieces and artwork from local wildlife photographer Roger Wilmshurst.

The nature reserve is open during the event, allowing visitors to explore the wetland and heathland trails through the Arun valley.

In October the flooded meadows teem with ducks, geese and swans and visitors even have the chance to feed them as the visitor centre provides a variety of treats for wildlife.

As children enjoy the play area, adults can enjoy a home cooked lunch and a slice of cake at the cafe.

Samantha Stokes, event organiser, said: “There is something here for everyone. Come along and enjoy local crafts and arts, guided walks, fantastic food and kids’ activities.”

The Fair runs from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday 22 and Sunday October 23.
