Netherfield

Netherfield Church: Services now return to the normal schedule through January with Holy Communions, this week at Brightling, then Mountfield and finally in Netherfield. All start at 10 am.

We were very lucky last week to have a wedding at Netherfield which brightened up the gap between Christmas and New Year. On Tuesday, which thankfully was a bright and crisp morning, John Meadows and Lyn Jaques both from Battle, were joined in marriage in the service conducted by Ann-Marie. Although it started as a ‘quiet ceremony’ the church welcomed some 80 guests! The church looked lovely with all the Christmas decorations enhanced with beautiful pew ends and floral displays. All went to plan and it really was a delightful service with true sincerity which usually shows more when the bride and groom are of the ‘mature’ variety. John and Lyn left the church for a reception at The Powdermills with their friends and family. We wish Mr and Mrs Meadows every happiness for the future. Paul Smith, Churchwarden.

Netherfield Stores: Want to stop smoking? We now have E cigarettes and associated supplies for sale.
