Netherfield Church - Services for the month of November are as follows: Sunday November 4, Joint Family Service with Mountfield at Mountfield at 10 am, this service will be presented by the boarders of Vinehall School. Sunday November 11, Remembrance Service at Netherfield and please note the different time of 10.45 am. Sunday November 18, Joint Holy Communion with Mountfield at Mountfield at 10 am, and Sunday November 25, is another Joint Holy Communion with Mountfield but at Netherfield, also at 10 am. WHITE HART On Monday October 8 the ladies darts team were at home against The Red Lion, the ladies won 8-3 with wins for in the singles for Debbie Brooks, Coral Giles, Marie Colvin and Sarah Hunter, in the doubles wins for Debbie/Mandy Saunters, Marie/Coral, in the trebles wins for Mandy/Coral/Marie and finally Debbie/Coral/Marie. There were two high scores Debbie Brooks 121 and Sarah Hunter 115. On Thursday October 11 White Hart B played against The Queens Head in the darts they lost 5-2 with wins for Ricky 2-0 and Andy Saunders 2-1, in the men’s pairs they lost 2-1, in the ladies pairs Mandy Saunters and Sarah Hunter won 2-1, in the mixed pairs Rick Warner and Marie Colvin won 2-1. In the push penny the team lost 4-1 with the only win coming from Marie Colvin. On Monday October 15 the ladies were away to Robertsbridge and they came out winners 7-4, in the singles there was wins for Mandy, Coral and Marie, in the doubles there were wins for Mandy/Debbie, Coral/Marie and in the trebles wins for Sarah/Debbie/Lou and finally Marie/Lou/Coral. On Thursday October 18 it was team knock out night in the dart league. The White Hart lost to The Queens Head and the White Hart B team won 7-6, with the last game being the decider with Jo winning her last game 2 -0, she put the team through to the next round. On Monday October 22 the ladies played at Best Beech the team lost 6-5, with wins in the singles for Coral, in the doubles there were wins for Jane/Debbie and Sarah/Mandy, Coral/Marie, and in the trebles there was a win for Debbie/Jane/Mandy there was also a high score of Jane 131 and Sarah 113. On Thursday October 25 the B side played The Senlac they lost the darts 6 -1, lost the mixed and men’s pairs and ladies pairs and lost the push penny 4 -1 with the only two people winning, Jo Lovick in the darts and Lyn winning in the push penny. On Monday the ladies darts played The Wheel and won 8-3 with wins for Marie, Jane, Coral and Mandy, in the doubles there were wins for Sarah/Jane and Jane/Mandy in the trebles there were wins for Jane/Mandy/Sarah and finally Marie/Mandy/Coral.

There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.  We have a group of ladies and Gents that play amongst themselves Monday Lunchtimes.

East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre is a registered charity working in partnership with Adult Social Care to provide a no charge mobile information and advice service for Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people living in East Sussex. The vehicle, which is funded by the Big Lottery, is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening tests (if time permits). The mobile unit will be visiting Battle on Thursday November 15, and will be in Market Square from 10.30am – 3.30pm. The bus is accessible to wheelchair users and representatives from both the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre and Adult Social Care will be available to provide individual information and advice on all aspects of hearing loss.
