Netherfield Church Tomorrow, Saturday October 13 from 10am until noon is the Autumn Fair at the church. There will be the usual array of stalls, produce and cakes, water colour paintings to view and buy, books, bric-a-brac, some competitions, tombola, a raffle and refreshments so make a note of the date and please come along and support us.

This Sunday’s service is at Mountfield and is the United Service for the benefice with all three parishes joining together for a Holy Communion. The following week, Sunday October 21 is also at Mountfield and is a Holy Communion and then we are back to Netherfield for Holy Communion. All services are at the usual time of 10am. Paul Smith. White Hart - On Thursday October 18 we are holding our monthly Quiz night, starting at 7.30pm and finishing about 10pm. All proceeds raised will go to Netherfield Village Church. Food is available from 5.30pm until 7.15pm, we offer, as a special deal Scampi or Fish & chips at only £5.00. It would be great to see some Village locals attend and help raise money for their local church. To reserve a table call us 01424-838382.

The dart season started on week commencing October 4, anyone who wishes to join us, the ladies only team play on Monday’s, the mixed teams play on Thursday’s and Friday’s so come and see us and ask for Sean or Coral 01424-838382.

On Thursday the dart league started with the A team at home to the Black Horse the dart team won 5-2 in the doubles, the team won all their games 2-0 but in the push penny they lost 3-2. The B side played away at Staplecross where the darts team won 4-3 with wins for Marie Colvin, Lou and Mandy Saunters, and Bob Lovick, in the mixed pairs Lou and Sarah Hunter lost 2-1, Mandy Saunters and Bob Lovick won 2-0. In the push penny the team lost 4-1 with the only win coming from Rick Warne.

There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.  We have a group of ladies and Gents that play amongst themselves Monday Lunchtimes.

THE MOBILE LIBRARY will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10 today Friday October 12 and on Friday October 26.
