Netherfield village voice

Darvel Down and Area Residents’ Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday, 27th September at the Netherfield Village Hall.

Apart from having the opportunity to have your say and giving your suggestions, this will be an opportunity to see the improvements to the hall, including the new central heating.

Community Friends for Netherfield - There has been a very encouraging response to the recent Netherfield survey. A big thank-you to all residents who took the time to complete the questionnaire. The Steering Group will now wait until after the summer to organise an Open Meeting to invite Netherfield residents to discuss the survey results and give their ideas on how the scheme will work best for them. The Community Friends scheme will match residents needing a “helping hand” with local volunteers willing to offer spare time and services. Not everyone likes to ask for help but having a scheme where help from a neighbour is just a phone call away can make all the difference, especially when you live alone in a village where family live away and public transport is limited. So watch this space for news about the scheme. Val Smith, Rother Community Friends Development Officer, Tel: 01424 217259 Mobile: 07719102898 Email: [email protected]
